ABOUT US
The Norfolk Area has been in existence for over 30 years and we continue
to go from strength to strength with increased membership, under the
guidance of a strong committee.
Our meets are spread right across Norfolk and into Suffolk now that the
Suffolk Area has closed down. All units are welcome to our meets but
they must be members of the Camping and Caravanning Club.
Besides our meets throughout the camping season we also hold a number of
other events in the Autumn and Winter months, namely Christmas
Dinner/Dance, New Year Meet, and Winter Walk.
2005 was the highlight of our years when we were asked to organise and
run the very last combined AGM/FOL on the Sandringham Estate, (by kind
permission of Her Majesty the Queen), where we had over 500 units
sharing a great weekend of entertainment.
The average attendance at our meets are some 24 units ranging from over
50 units for our temporary holiday sites and some 5-day meets down to 8
to 12 units for some of our smaller venues.
The aim of our members is to be friendly and helpful to all members and
visitors alike so that everyone enjoys their camping and caravanning.
We are actively seeking new and younger members to maintain a strong
club membership, which to-date we are slowly achieving. If you would
like to attend one of our meets, you will be made most welcome, so
please come along. In order to avoid disappointment it is advisable to
check with the Meet Organisers in advance to ensure that a space is
available, as some meets have to be pre-booked.
