Councillors Meet - Fundraising

25th April 2012

Wewould like to announce that during the Easter meet run by the BCC Councillors at Bishopthorpe in York, a total of £110.80 was raised for Charity. This money was donated by our visitors as a reult of the 'surplus equipment sale' and other fundraising events over the weekend.

This money has been donated to St Leonard's Hospice which is a registered charity caring for people with life-threatening illnesses - often, though not always, cancer. Their skilled and specially-trained staff offer in-patient palliative care in a purpose-built unit with 20 beds and Daycare at the Hospice for people living in their own homes. They are also run a Hospice@Home service.

North Wales Area - Meet Changes

5th March 2012

North Wales B.C.C. would like to announce that they have to cancel a weekend meet which was to be held at BICKLEY VILLAGE HALL. This meet was to be held on the weekend of 8th to 10th June 2012.No substitute meet has been arranged.

As a reminder, the Meet at CLAWDD NEWYDD, Nr RUTHIN 18th to 23rd October is also cancelled but has been replaced by THE COTTON ARMS, AT WRENBURY CW5 8HG. MR 117/592479.

There is also a Meet missing from the Red book, which is from the 13th to 15th April 2012 at Sutton Fields, Sutton Weaver Village. Post Code is WA7 3EY. MR117/554795.

Ribblesdale Area - Help the Heroes

18th February 2012

Mr Paddy Welsh, outgoing chairman of Ribblesdale Area British Caravanners Club, presents a cheque to Mr Arthur Rowe for £3,400, at our AGM on 18th February 2012.

This was raised by the caravanners with raffles, fun days, cake stalls and donations during the year of 2011 for their chosen charity Help For Heroes.
